What Are The Cross Streets To The Downtown Area Of Buenos Aires?
I am planning a trip to Buenos Aires and would love to know what the boundaries are for the downtown area. I want a hotel that is right downtown where all the shopping, restaurants etc are.
Many thanks.

Well….”downtown” is like where the Casa Rosa and other government buildings are, Plaza de Mayo (where the B, C, D, and E subte lines connect). But then there’s also Calle Florida which has tons of shops and restaurants. And then there’s the Obelisco on 9 de Julio.
I would recommend staying in Recoleta or Palermo. Those are two of the nicest areas in Buenos Aires with lots of shops, restaurants, bars, boliches, and other touristy things to do. Plus they are close enough to the other downtown places I mentioned that you could easily get there.
It’s an incredible city. Can’t miss La Boca and Puerto Madero, two other great places to see!
