I’ve been to boston before but only in the daytime. what is it like after midnight? til like 4am? is it dangerous to be out at those times? where is the worst place to go?

My husband and I are planning a trip to Boston, but the hotel choices are getting overwhelming. We’d like a nice hotel; price isn’t that important, but we’re not looking for $500 a night either.
